APUDD – Portuguese Association of Ultimate and Disc Sports, APD was born on April 2, 2011.

It is a non-profit association and aims to promote, develop, regulate and organize the sporting practices carried out with a flying disc throughout the territory of continental Portugal and the archipelagos.

Since 2013, the APUDD has been an official member of the WFDF – World Flying Disc Federation, the world-wide governing body for disc sports, which in 2015 was officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee.

BULA is a beach sports and lifestyle organization whose mission it is to assist, educate, and promote the Spirit and the Sport of Beach Ultimate worldwide.

BULA has been organizing World Championships of Beach Ultimate since 2004. As a member of the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF), BULA got Beach Ultimate recognized as an official disc sport in 2010 and subsequently co-hosted the World and European Beach Championships with the WFDF in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017.

The World Flying Disc Federation is the international sports federation responsible for world governance of Flying Disc (frisbee) sports, including Ultimate, Beach Ultimate, Disc Golf, Freestyle, Guts, and Individual Events. WFDF is a federation of member associations which represent flying disc sports and their athletes in more than 84 countries. WFDF is an international federation recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), a member of ARISF, GAISF and the International World Games Association, and a registered not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation in the state of Colorado, USA.
